Maryland Map Tote Bag

Julia Gash is a creative entrepreneur and British artist who is passionate about print and maps. She creates hand drawn illustrations using brush and ink and collaborates with retailers and licensees worldwide to create sustainable and stylish gifts.

Maryland is a beautiful and busy state of America, steeped in military history and literary heritage. The writer Edgar Allan Poe hailed from Maryland and here you can find him in my illustration of Maryland, right next to Clara Barton, founder of America's Red Cross. Maryland is home to the declining industrial and upwardly culturally rich cities of Baltimore and Annapolis as well as the coal mining city of Cumberland. Battlefields and forts feature in my illustration of Maryland as do the pretty, little lighthouses that dot the shore.
